Channel manager for tour and activity operators Sell on every channel. Overbook on none.

Opero Channel Manager connects the system you run to online travel agencies. Map each listing to the product behind it once, and every channel sells from the same pool as your counter. A booking anywhere changes what everywhere else can sell.

In pilot with Follow Me To Maldives. Viator and GetYourGuide next. An optional add-on, priced at launch.

Example

How it works

Connect once. Map once. Sell everywhere.

  1. 01

    Connect the system you run

From the Counter's Sell on OTAs page, connect Opero POS in one step. The channel manager reads your services, options, schedules and capacity, and keeps them in step as you change them.

  2. 02

    Map each listing once

Every online listing, with its options and schedules, is mapped to one product in your system. Do it once at onboarding; the channel manager never guesses by name.

  3. 03

Set your net rates per channel

A season grid per service and channel, apart from your counter price. The channel manager carries each rate to that one channel, which adds its commission. Nothing is converted or marked up on the way.

  4. 04

    Sell from one pool

Every sale, cancellation, hold and capacity change sends the new remaining count to every channel the slot is on. A channel booking holds a seat in your system before it is confirmed, then lands in your counter with the channel named.

What you get

Switched on from the Counter. Watched from the Console.

Your staff keep working in Opero POS. The channel manager does the carrying, and shows its work.

In your Counter

Sell on OTAs

One page inside Opero POS

  • Connect the channel manager and rotate its key when you need to
  • Net rates per channel and per season, in a grid per service

Between your system and the channels

Two streams

Availability out, bookings in

  • Remaining counts per slot and date, absolute and versioned, to every mapped channel
  • Holds that expire, then confirm, change or cancel, decided by your system
  • The channel's price is the price: what the guest was told is what your counter collects
  • Check-ins, venue payments and counter cancellations reported back to the channel

Signed, logged, retried; dead letters kept for replay

Channels and systems

Any system you run. Every channel you sell on.

One connector per channel, one connector per system. Adding either never changes how the other side works.

Channels

  • Follow Me To MaldivesIn pilot

The Maldives online travel agency. First channel, in pilot: listings, live counts, bookings, rates and payments both ways.

  • ViatorPlanned

Next. We are going through the connectivity partner programme; the channel manager will act as your reservation system there.

  • GetYourGuidePlanned

Next, on the same footing as Viator. Every channel added sells from the same pool.

Systems

  • Opero POSAvailable

Connected from the Counter in one step. Catalogue, capacity, rates and bookings flow both ways today.

  • Other point of sale and reservation systemsPlanned

One connector per system, so an operator keeps the tools they already run.

  • The extranetPlanned

For operators with no system: maintain products, slots and capacity in the channel manager itself and receive bookings there.

Questions

About the channel manager.

What is Opero Channel Manager?

A channel manager for excursion and activity operators. It connects the system you run to online travel agencies, maps each of your listings to the product behind it, and keeps every channel selling from the same pool of capacity as your counter. Bookings made on a channel land in your system with the channel named, and what happens on site flows back.

Which online travel agencies does it connect to?

Follow Me To Maldives is the first channel and is in pilot now. Viator and GetYourGuide are next: we are going through their connectivity partner programmes, and neither is live yet. Every channel you add sells from the same pool.

Which systems can it connect to?

Opero POS today: an operator connects from the Counter's Sell on OTAs page and the channel manager reads the catalogue, capacity and rates from there. Connectors for other point of sale and reservation systems, and an extranet for operators with no system, are planned.

How does it stop double selling?

Capacity is one pool. Every sale, cancellation, capacity change and hold in your system sends the channel manager the new remaining count for that slot, and it passes the count to every channel the slot is listed on. A booking from any channel holds a seat in your system first, so the last seat can only go once.

Who sets the prices on the channels?

You do, in the Counter: net rates per channel and per season, separate from your counter price. The channel manager carries them to that one channel, which adds its own commission to reach the guest price. It never converts or marks up a rate.

What do I collect when a channel guest pays at the venue?

Exactly what the channel told the guest, in the channel's currency. The booking in your counter is priced at that amount, so the drawer, the receipt and the channel agree.

What does it cost?

It will be an optional paid add-on, priced when it launches. It is in pilot now. Nothing that runs your operation in Opero POS moves behind it.
